Susan Kochinskas of Flocksholm Design works with a wide range of clients and types of graphic design projects. With the aim of making each project successful, Susan believes in teamwork. This can simply mean working closely with you to define goals and solutions. On a larger scale, when needed, it means helping to put together the right team to fulfill your goals. For example, she’ll find the copywriter, photographer, and/or printer that best fit your project. Her experience has shown that the sum of a project’s parts, not just great design, make it successful. In short, you decide what you want and Susan helps make it happen. With over 30 years in the business, Susan still loves what she does: Creating graphic design solutions that work for you in today’s marketplace.

Why “Flocksholm”?
J.V.R. Shepherd (Susan’s grandfather) had a good sense of humor. He named his house Flocksholm: “flocks” after his flock of sheep (he had 4 children), combined with “holm,” the Old English word for home. This sign, painted by Arthur Oakman of Needham MA, hung at the Shepherd farm in Hopkinton from 1938 until 1976.
